Fifi
He's Dead, but he's still our little doggie.

We found a great zombie-dog mask and just KNEW we had to automate it and build a ratty dog house to go with it.   Both the actuator and the dog house were a fun challenge to build.   The dog is motion controlled and has some serious growling sound effects to accompany his leap forward.

Here's a side view shot of the dog house with the side removed.  The dog actuator and sound modules are all accessable through the back of the dog house.  In this photo, we're taking the dog house apart after Halloween. Notice the motion control module, the sound module, and the speakers.  We fastened the actuator to the ground with rebar, and weighted the whole rig with cinder blocks to keep it from moving around and working itself loose when it fires.

Here's Fifi out of his dog house.  The frame the actuator is built on is made from aluminum stock.
